Intruder Award

by msecadm4921

Siemens Building Technologies’ new integrated motion detection system, Eyetec, was Best New Intruder Alarm Product at the IFSEC 2006 security industry awards.

Another Siemens product, the Sistore CX EDS intelligent embedded codec, was as a finalist in the "Best New CCTV Product" category.

Eyetec is a motion detector that combines optical and passive infrared detection technologies. It also incorporates an anti-blocking feature, which reliably detects masking attempts over a wide visual field, which means that this unit is the only product of its type to meet the stringent requirements for use in EN50131 Grade 4 applications, the makers report.

What they say

Speaking after the ceremony, Marketing Manager, Ian Ellis said: "We are truly delighted to receive this award. Since its recent introduction to the market, Eyetec has received lots of interest from our installers and end users alike and is proving to be a very successful product for us."
