Complus Teltronic Ltd market a range of intercoms, that integrate with security systems.
A recent development is the use of intercom over IP (IoIP), a method that makes considerable savings on cabling costs. At the forthcoming IIPSEC 2006 exhibition, Roger Dance of Complus Teltronic will be giving a lecture on "Intercom versus Telephony over IP".
IoIP – Intercom over IP, was launched in the UK in 2005 by Complus Teltronic, able, the makers say, to provide intercom type voice solutions to traditional voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). IoIP also provides clearer speech quality, it is claimed, especially in noisy environments as it uses double the bandwidth of standard VoIP products, the makers say. Market demands are sufficiently diverse that there is a real need for both IoIP and VoIP solutions. What is really important is to have an understanding of both technologies and to know when and where each is best utilised, the firm says.
Roger Dance will be presenting an introductory session to IoIP between 10am and noon on January 24, at the IIPSEC 2006 Exhibition at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry. Visit www.iipsec2006.workzsites.com for booking information.
He has more than 30 years’ experience in voice communications; and will discuss the pros and cons of IoIP and VoIP systems. You are also invited to visit the firm’s demonstration desk in the Learning Zone at IIPSEC 2006 for an opportunity to see the equipment and learn more about the technology.
