Convision Technology, producer of video webservers is offering two highlights from its IP videoprodukt range: the VIPMux. The first integrated IP video webserver and multiplexer in one and the new webserver with long time recording (DVR). The VIPMux is the first integrated IP video webserver and multiplexer solution. The product combines the technology of the Convision V200 with the multiplexers of the US manufacturer ATV. It is possible to control 16 cameras with only one device simply via a LAN connection. All multiplexer functions such as multi camera displays, picture in picture and an optical zoom are conveniently accessible through the integrated IP video webserver via a standard Internet browser. A maximum of sixteen cameras can be made available with the multiplexer via just one data stream in a network. This leads to a considerable relief on the network. The VIPMux possesses all the functions of the Convision V200 series – for example, recording of up to 32 pre and post alarm images and sending images via FTP upload or e-mail. Furthermore, alarm notifications can also be sent by SMS to mobile telephones. The VIPMux is able to perceive changes in time, direction and size through the implemented motion detection feature. When a change takes place, an alarm will be permanently triggered until normal conditions are resumed. Additionally, this product offers extensive Dome support, for example, for Sensormatic SpeedDome Ultra, Philips G3 AutoDome, Ernitec BDR510 and ECV Telematria. The VIPMux is available in two versions: as VIPMux 9 for nine cameras and VIPMux 16 for sixteen. Both products will be on sale now. See www.convision.de. The Convision V700 series is a development of the Convision V600 series. The Convision V700 series is a solution with integrated video over IP. Thomas Oppermann, Managing Director of Convision Technology GmbH, says: ?It was clear to us from the beginning, that the future of remote video surveillance is directly linked with IP video. Now we are the only ones with a complete IP-based product range.? The Convision V700 offers digital video recording, six camera connections, a video output and a recording capacity of three to four frames per second. With this recording performance, the Convision V700 series well surpasses the new security guidelines set by the German Banking and Cash Handling Sector. Uninterrupted observation with simultaneous DVR use is guaranteed through the loop-through video output. Even after an alarm, further observation is possible, as the video output can be allocated to each available camera. The Convision V700 series is available in two versions: the Convision V740 DVR with 40 GByte and the Convision V770 DVR with 70 GByte hard disk. With the Convision V770 DVR it is, thus, possible to record one frame per second for 2540 hours with one camera. Furthermore, the Convision V700 series has all the functions of the V600 series integrated as well. Along with complete ISDN and 10/100 Mbit/s LAN capability, support of the VdS Protocol (German security industry standard) must be especially emphasised. In the case of an alarm, the Convision V700 series behaves like a VdS transmission device and sends an alarm notification via defined routes.
