‘Libya – The Future’ Conference runs at The QE11 Conference Centre, Westminster, central London on Monday, September 26. The event focuses on how British businesses can help rebuild Libya and do business with the new Libyan regime.
The final session of the day entitled – ‘Libya – The Way Back In’ – is by the risk, intelligence and protection company, The Inkerman Group, giving an insight into their most recent assignment in Tripoli, with accounts from their Security and Protection staff, who have been in Tripoli. Critical information and intelligence after a full risk assessment by the team of the current situation in Libya, will provide Board Rooms throughout the world with vital information to make informed business decisions
The keynote speaker Guma El Gamaty – the UK Representative for the National Transitional Council (NTC) the new Libyan regime leaders, will give an update on the rapidly changing Libyan political climate. Mr El Gamaty will also brief on transitional progress and government formation and the priorities of the reconstruction.
Other presenters include Robin Lamb, Director General of the Libyan British Business Council (LBBC), and Dilip Patel JV Partner Relations Director at Waw Al-Namus who act as agent and representatives for non-Libyan companies wishing to penetrate the oil & gas sectors. Harry Wynn-Williams of Bell-Pottinger advisers on regime stabilisation and Marianne McGuire of Libya Focus will give first-hand information from their recent trips to Libya.
Delegates will each get a copy of the Inkerman‘Libya – The Way Back In’ Risk Assessment Report. The panel sessions will be followed by Q & A sessions and an Open Forum discussion.
Topics will include a political overview with the latest on the unfolding events in Libya. Existing Anglo-Libyan organisations in UK and Libya and the services they provide will be featured plus support and assistance available for trade, investment, joint ventures, partnerships and business opportunities.
The speaker panel will seek to identify the business sectors who would need to be involved in the rebuilding of Libya in the immediate and medium term future including Infrastructure, Construction, Communications, Medical – Hospitals, Oil Refineries, Transport Services, Finance and Business Systems.
Libya – The Future conference is the first in a series of six events organised by Foley Associates to track Libyan progress and focus on industry sectors. The next Libya conference is planned for November 14, at QE11 Conference Centre. Future events will focus on essential services, industrial redevelopment, education, public services, food, commercial, retail& tourism sectors.
