Live Support

by Msecadm4921

Kaba claims it is the first security manufacturer to have a ‘live support’ chat interface added to its website besides allowing its customers to contact the company via telephone, fax, email and website.

Anyone visiting www.kaba.co.uk can ask a question, whether regarding products or projects, receive an answer and then have a conversation with Kaba. Customers can still wait for the email reply, or ring, the company adds; but if they see a product, such as the Simplex 5000 push button lock and want to know how to do a code change, they can ask the ‘live support’ operator and be taken to the page with the documentation.

Paul Owen, Marketing Manager of Kaba (UK) Ltd says: “Many visitors to our website are there because they are looking for technical documentation or details on the features and benefits of our products and they sometimes want an instant answer to a question they have just thought of. If they can ask someone immediately they can get a better understand which is the right product for them or be assisted in getting to the documentation they need. A website can be as easy to use as possible but we all sometimes have a question that we want to ask but we don’t want to phone the company or fill in an email so this fills that gap. The ‘live support’ so far has proved extremely popular with customers. It certainly won’t replace the telephone, but if we can make it easier for our customers to contact us that can only be a good thing.”

Kaba manufactures products including cylinders, safelocks, hotel locks, push button locks, and access control and time and attendance systems. Products include the elolegic, a mechatronic cylinder, and exos, an IP enabled access control system.
