Connexion2 has received the ACPO Secured by Design (SBD) Award for its Identicom range of lone worker devices.
Identicom has met the security standards required by SBD, an initiative from the Association of Police Officers (ACPO) that aims to reduce crime through effective design.
Last yearโs winner of the ACPO Award at the IFSEC Security Industry Innovation Awards, Identicom underwent rigorous evaluation prior to being accepted by SBD. Now, Identicom is able to utilise the SBD logo – the only logo that guarantees national police approval of a product. The SBD logo provides security specifiers, managers and end customers with reassurance that the accredited product provides a realistic level of resistance to criminal attack. The logo is widely recognised within industry and is increasingly being listed as a mandatory requirement in various tenders.

About Secured by Design
The UK police initiative supports the principles of "designing out crime" through the use of crime prevention and security standards for a range of applications. A not for profit company, ACPO Crime Prevention Initiatives Limited was established in 1999 by the Association of Police Officers (ACPO) to manage Secured by Design and similar crime prevention initiatives at a national level.
