Meet Buyers

by Msecadm4921

A number of international fire and security buyers have signed up for the 2004 International ‘Meet the Buyers’ security event, in December, the BSIA reports.

Now in its third year, this event which matches UK suppliers with overseas buyers has grown from strength to strength and has so far generated over £1.3m business for UK security companies, the association reports. This year’s event will have a particular focus on new technology, say organisers, reflecting the demand for fire and security product innovation and will feature the fire sector for the first time.

Buyers who have confirmed their attendance are: Belgium: European Commission
Canada: City of Vancouver France: SIGMA Greece: Akmon, EFA, P.A.S.S. Defence Hong Kong: The Jardine Engineering Corp. Iceland: Keflavik International Airport India: Jet Airways .
Italy: B.E.A., Gilardoni, Mercantile Italo Britannica Malaysia: Setia Haruman Technology Netherlands: International Criminal Court, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Qatar: Qatar Foundation
Sri Lanka: Safrex International Turkey: Etken Security Systems United States: Baltimore Police Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Sas R&D Services, Securities Industries.

Organised by UK Trade and Investment (South East), and supported by Business Links in the South East, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), Fire Industry Confederation (FIC) and Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS), the event reverses the usual exhibition format. By placing buyers on exhibition stands and allowing suppliers to visit the buyers privately and ‘face to face’ to sell their products and services, the chances of suppliers winning business are significantly increased, it is claimed. International Meet the Buyers Fire and Security 2004 ison Tuesday, December 7, at the Savill Court Hotel, Egham, Surrey.
