Midlands Buy

by Msecadm4921

Secure One Limited has acquired the Fire & Security business of Central Networks (formerly MEB).

The take-over now means that Secure One is the largest independent security company in The Midlands, with over 35,000 installed systems, it is claimed.

The move follows a decision by Central Networks to concentrate on its core business of distributing electricity. Central Networks was formerly known as ‘Midlands Electricity’ and ‘East Midlands Electricity’. Secure One was itself once part of East Midlands Electricity until a management buy-out in 2000. Secure One will now be handling the existing customer contracts as well as developing the business throughout the Midlands.

What they say

Ian Bass, Leicester-based Secure One’s Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new customers. They can be assured of receiving superior standards of service. We’re NACOSS Gold approved, which is the highest and most exacting industry quality standard there is. We provide security and peace of mind for thousands of domestic, commercial and industrial customers throughout the Midlands and further afield.”

All Central Networks’ Fire & Security customers have been informed of the changes and Secure One will be expanding its team of engineers to accommodate the acquisition, the firm adds.
