MITIE Rebrand

IP installer Intruder International, acquired by MITIE Group Plc in May 2005, is changing its name to MITIE Security Systems Ltd.

Hertfordshire-based Intruder International was founded in 1994. MITIE reports that the rebrand will convey more the company’s goal to become a leading provider of integrated security solutions. The rebranding will take in the electronic arm of Midlands-based The Watch Security – enabling the systems firm to provide UK-wide coverage, it is claimed. The rebranding process will see new uniforms and vehicle livery.

Jeff Flanagan, Managing Director at MITIE Security, said: “We have worked hard over the last year to integrate the guarding and the electronic side of security. The rebranding of Intruder and Watch Systems will help in passing this message on to the market – MITIE are a total security solution provider.”  
 
About MITIE

The support services company employs 38,000 people across the UK and has a turnover exceeding £800m (March 2005). MITIE is an acronym for Management Incentive Through Investment Equity. MITIE Security is the division within MITIE that specialises in providing contract guarding, remote monitoring, key holding, patrol and alarm response services, electronic security and gallery attendants.
