Modular Kiosk Printer

by msecadm4921

DED the Kent-based distributor of printers, has launched the TUP900 Series modular kiosk printer from Star Micronics.

This product differs from other Star kiosk printers in that it is available in modular units, to allow design flexibility, the distributors report. Printing modules can be tailored to the individual kiosk design. The product will print barcodes, tickets, labels and receipts on stock up to 150gsm as well as automatically scale A4 output onto 112mm wide paper at a print speed of up to 150mm per second. A paper presenter ensures that operation is jam-free, DED say, and it can even retract untaken tickets back inside the kiosk. Such flexibility makes it suitable for web pages, receipts, ticketing, information pages and maps. Fitted with an optional ethernet interface, it will send an e-mail to a remote engineer to notify him of paper low or error situations before they become a problem. Visit www.ded.co.uk
