Paul Goggins – Parliamentary under Secretary at the Home Office – has political charge of the Security Industry Authority.
Also on his plate is: serious and organised crime; drugs; Asset Recovery Agency; public order, sex offences, roads policing, animal extremism, internet crime, child pornography and football disorder; voluntary and community sector, community cohesion, faith and race equality.
Hazel Blears has kept her job as Home Office minister who leads on policing, security and community safety. She will be supported by junior minister Paul Goggins. Both are Manchester MPs; Blears for Salford, Goggins for Wythenshawe and Sale East.
