Lighting equipment manufacturers Pathfinder Fox have launched a range of multi-function industrial torches.
This follows the company’s market debut earlier in 2004 with a range of hand-held and helmet-mounted high-performance torches.
Meeting the current legislation that requires ATEX-approved lights when working in hazardous areas, the multi-functional UK 4AA range fulfils the role of four torches with one product, it is claimed. For as well as being a straight angle torch, the UK 4AA may be adapted to become a right angle torch, thanks to a clip device, and a further clip also enables the torch to become attached to a helmet. Plus, a wand connection turns the torch into a traffic wand. These torches are also suitable, the makers say, for emergency services, including the fire brigade and armed forces. The range of torches feature a Xenon lamp in a prefocused reflector always ready for use, even in extreme conditions, according to the makers. Available in a lightweight and compact ABS case, they are waterproof and dustproof and are also corrosion-resistant, it is claimed.
