Ultrak has released a new controller for its MaxPro video management systems range. The ergonomically styled and fully programmable UltraKey control keyboard allows the quick and intuitive control of literally every CCTV system function with its combination of large format touch-screen LCD, dedicated hard keys, joystick and jog shuttle dials. Capable of handling hundreds of command menus, representing up to 8,000 individual buttons and 999 key codes, the touch-screen LCD makes it possible to control ecording devices, cameras, domes, multiplexers, monitors, audio equipment and alarm inputs – from one keyboard. Enabling truly customised system operation, the two assignable jog shuttle dials can be used to perform functions such as changing camera views, selecting monitors to edit views, even searching through images on a DVR. UltraKey also has a centrally mounted, variable speed, rate-proportional joystick, with integral zoom for the control of pan and tilt cameras and domes. A soft-rubber wrist rest also helps to reduce operational fatigue.
