Xtralis announced that its ADPRO FastTrace video surveillance system has been chosen by Redbridge NHS Trust to protect staff and patients and prevent acts of vandalism at its facilities in Redbridge and the surrounding area of North East London.

Redbridge Health Care NHS Trust employs more than 2,500 staff across doctors’ surgeries, healthcare centres and clinics, all of which have suffered from vandalism and theft. Redbridge wanted to reduce incidents of crime that, on one site alone, had cost it more than £300,000, and to ensure that limited NHS resources were better deployed in front-line services.

The solution was delivered with Xtralis partner SECOM, who specified Xtralis ADPRO FastTrace technology as part of a packaged CCTV solution. This solution comprises cameras and associated detectors, with images recorded and transmitted via the Xtralis ADPRO FastTrace system and viewed by operators at SECOM’s remote video response centre.

Warren Zygelman, spokesman for SECOM says, “We chose Xtralis ADPRO because of the quality of its technology and the company’s experience in similar applications that has proved invaluable for Redbridge NHS Trust. The first sites have already been completed, and we are now looking to roll the solutions out to further sites in line with demand.”

About Xtralis ADPRO FastTrace

The makers describe it as a video recording and event-based transmission system that delivers video access over communication links including PSTN, ISDN, cellular, ADSL or other networks. ADPRO FastTrace automatically transmits video events from the remote site to a manned central station and its active two-way audio capability deters intruders and vandals.

“We are delighted that Xtralis ADPRO is providing Redbridge NHS Trust with superior remote surveillance technology to keep staff and patients safe from harm, and prevent damage to expensive infrastructure,” says Samir Samhouri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Xtralis.

“Redbridge joins our growing base of leading global organisations who have selected our ADPRO FastTrace system as the foundation for their security initiatives.”
