NSI At IFSEC

by Msecadm4921

Stand F5, Hall 3A, NEC, Birmingham, May 11 to 14.

Representatives from the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) will be on Stand F5 in Hall 3A at this year’s IFSEC to provide information on the inspectorate’s third-party certification schemes for electronic security systems and manned guarding companies.  NSI are a sponsor of the Apprentice Skills Challenge, offering their support to this event for the tenth year running.

Approval through one of the NSI’s schemes enables security companies to provide customers, police and insurers with proof that they consistently meet standards, helping them to gain new business opportunities in what the inspectorate calls an increasingly competitive marketplace.  NSI approved companies also benefit from technical support including regular updates on regulatory changes and training courses, plus a listing in the NSI online directory.

NSI was the first SIA accredited assessing body to offer access to the Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) via the Passport route.  Open to NSI Guarding Gold and Cash Services Gold approved companies that provide security guarding, CCTV, door supervision and keyholding services, the Passport route offers an option for access to the ACS.  NSI approved companies choosing this route must meet a new NSI passport specification but will not be required to go through separate ACS assessment, a potential cost saving the inspectorate adds.
