UK post room X-ray manufacturer Todd Research Limited has developed a new entry-level range of postal screening equipment.
Mail bombs and hazardous items are a safety concern for both private individuals and organisations, the Essex-based firm says. Such items are often concealed in a seemingly routine small package or letter. Screening the post is, for many companies, the only way to intercept these items before they are allowed to cause harm. With the basix ange, all companies can now screen their post.
About the range
basix 10 desk-mounted unit enables the operator to detect metallic letter or parcel bomb components such as detonators, timing devices, shielding and batteries, which can be contained within an envelope or small package. basix 30 & 30+ slim-line designed cabinet X-ray unit enables you to separate the everyday items such as CDs, videos and mobile phones, from the suspicious items including bombs, razor blades and hidden narcotics. There is optional EPD (Enhanced Powder Detection) on the 30+ unit.
basix 60 conveyor X-ray unit is suitable, the Chelmsford firm adds, for the company who wants to screen larger volumes fast, with limited space. It is capable of screening bags, packages and post.
