Ubiqz, the specialist security division of the Midwich Group, has launched with exacqVision Video Management System (VMS) software and systems by Exacq Technologies.
The launch will add to Ubiqzโs product portfolio a full range of cameras and servers.
The exacqVision VMS software runs on factory-installed exacqVision hybrid and IP camera servers or on commercial off-the-shelf servers. Hybrid servers incorporate analogue and IP cameras into a single system, making the most of existing security surveillance infrastructures the firms add.
The freely distributed, powerful exacqVision client software connects to a virtually unlimited number of servers and is available for Windows, Linux and Macintosh systems. Video from exacqVision servers can also be accessed with all major web browsers and via free mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
Anand Subbiah, general manager at Ubiqz, said: โI am excited to be able to offer this affordable, scalable solution through Ubiqz. The Exacq open architecture software will give us the opportunity to support a full, complementary range of cameras and servers. To support the software further, there will also be Exacq product specialists.โ
Roger Shuman, marketing manager at Exacq, said: โUbiqz has quickly become a well-respected distributor in the highly competitive security industry and we are very pleased to partner with them in the UK. Ubiqz brings value to the sale of our exacqVision line of VMS solutions with their technical expertise, specific knowledge of the marketplace and the backing of their parent company, Midwich.โ
This launch is the latest in a succession of new vendor announcements that Ubiqz has made since it was acquired by the Midwich Group last year. The distributor now represents many of the industryโs leading manufacturers. To find out more about Ubiqz, visit the website www.ubiqz.com.
Exacq will be demonstrating its extensive range of software and hardware products on the Ubiqz stand in Hall 4 (stand 4/H20) at IFSEC.
