Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solution Division and CCTV manufacturer Videotec are partnering in integration of the products made by both companies.
Videotec will offer ULISSE, the new positioning unit for dynamic outdoor surveillance with an integrated 26x optical zoom day/night camera from Sony. This new positioning unit integrates a pan and tilt head and a telemetry receiver with the Sony camera in a outdoor enclosure, reducing in this way the need of several harnesses and obtaining a weatherproof (IP66) installation, the firms report. The Sony camera offers a privacy zone masking function (up to 24 blocks), incorporating Digital Signal Processing. The 26x zoom lens (up to 312x when used in combination with digital zoom) with high telephoto capability, allows users to zoom in on small or distant objects, it is claimed.
