New products to be showcased at IFSEC on the Bewator stand K120 include the RX3 telemetry receiver and the 6000 Series Controller Range, the successor to the 600 Series. The new 6000 Series is the first product from the video control stable to be powered by Molynx technology, pictured. Designed to cover a variety of requirements, the range includes controllers with eight inputs and two outputs through to models with 32 inputs and eight outputs. Eight separate units can be linked together to provide a distributed system of 256 inputs and 64 outputs. The controller range has several new features, designed to add to operator efficiency. The keypad features rubberised keys which improve tactile capability and a track ball instead of the usual joystick (usually the most vulnerable component in a controller). The track ball provides precise camera control. Blue warning lights on the controller help to ensure that in a busy control room the warning signals will be easily noticed against the array of red and green LEDs, the manufacturer reports. The RX3 receiver offers privacy zones as standard; the operator highlights the designated area with a box and the zone is activated, says Paul Webb, Managing Director of Bewator. He adds: ?We are investing a significant percentage of our turnover on product development in the long term. This will help to ensure that we provide installers with the right products.? Also on display will be the range of Cotag hands-free readers, compatible with most current systems. The see-through coloured cards practically distinguish varying levels of access for staff.
