Humberside Police have given 100 licensed premises the green light as safe places for a night out.
In December the police force launched a traffic light system for licensed premises (not including restaurants) in North East Lincolnshire.
Small medium and large pubs and clubs were all graded over a three month period by looking at incidents which have happened on or just outside them.
At the end of the three month test period the premisesโ records were looked at and each was graded as red, amber or green.
The regionโs three amber premises will receive a warning letter and will receive advice from Licensing Officer in North East Lincolnshire, PC Stuart Catmull, about ways in which they can improve safety for revellers.
No premises were judged as red. If any had been they may have had their license reviewed and PC Catmull would have offered them advice, as well as looking at measures like CCTV.
All the green premisesโ names will be released to the media to celebrate their status as safe places to go. The list is below.
The three amber premisesโ details will not be published for legal reasons.
Alcohol, Violence and Criminal Damage Champion for North East Lincolnshire Insp Tom Shaw said:
โViolent crime has been decreasing year on year in North East Lincolnshire. Humberside Police and Safer Communities have been working in close partnership with premises on a variety of schemes including plastic glasses, improved street lighting and CCTV.
โIt is about making a night out safer for all and ensuring community safety. The team at Safer Communities has come up with a number of schemes to tackle violent crime and alcohol misuse which have been recognised as best practice by the Home Office.
โWe would urge all revellers to be proud of themselves and their community which is a great place to live and visit. Together we will make a difference to North East Lincolnshire.โ

It is fantastic news that the majority of the premises in our area have been given the green light under the traffic light system and there have been no red lights.โ
