Tests carried out by two separate testing houses, which included the ability to withstand extreme vibrations, has resulted in certificates being issued which verify that the SNV-5010 vandal resistant network dome camera is robustly able to operate effectively within the demanding conditions of railway trains and stations.
TUV SUD of Germany carried out testing of the SNV-5010 to ensure it was suitable for use at railway stations by complying with the EN-50121 standard, while SGS Korea Co Ltd in a separate test was able to issue a certificate of compliance with EN-50155 standard confirming the SNV-5010‚Äôs ability to cope with conditions on board trains.

The SNV-5010 is the latest Samsung security product tested and certificated to the EN-50121 standard.
The vandal resistant and fully weatherproofed 1.3 Megapixel Samsung SNV-5010 dome measures just 100 x 115 x 42mm and is designed for places where there may be limited space. It uses progressive scan technology to capture video of moving subjects and features licence-free Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) which has an optical tripwire and enter/exit direction detection capability, as well as an Appear/Disappear function to detect the movement of objects. IVA also has a scene change tampering function, which creates an alert if, for example, paint is sprayed on a camera lens or there is unauthorised movement of a camera away from its usual field of view.
