Access control manufacturer FDI has introduced a new vandal resistant reader.
The Proxter reader is compatible with the Transit stand alone access control system as well as Passan, FDI’s IP-based access management product which can remotely control over IP 192 card readers and 2700 users per site. The product’s slim dimensions make it, the manufacturers say, an attractive solution for internal and external use in office, commercial property and residences. The makers add that it is designed to be installer friendly and can be connected using just three wires. The Proxter reader’s integral LEDs flash when an access control token, identity card or Blipper is presented in close proximity to the reader and change to green when the token is recognised as being valid.
