Risk Standards Day

by Msecadm4921

BSI British Standards, developers of a national standard on risk management, are taking bookings for a conference to introduce the new standard.

BSI say that managing risk has become a necessity, not an option. From global financial shocks to an increased awareness of sustainability issues, the demands made on businesses are changing rapidly, both externally and from within their organizations.

Risk management is crucial to all businesses, regardless of the sector in which they operate. For those businesses working in more than one sector, managing risk takes on even greater significance.

Hence the Risk Management Conference on the BS 31100 Code of practice for risk management on October 22 and 23, at America Square Conference Centre, London.

This conference and accompanying workshop will provide a briefing on the new BS 31100 Code of practice for risk management. The conference will also showcase related risk management standards, and has been designed to help you identify the threats and act on the opportunities that lie ahead.

Delgates will leave this BSI conference with a clearer idea of how their risk management strategies and processes could be improved by utilising this new code of practice.

The conference offers:

*A briefing on the first British Standard on Risk Management, covering:
– What BS 31100 contains
– How it can be applied to organizations
– How it could help tackle current risk management issues
– The benefits BS 31100 offers to your business
*An in-depth, interactive workshop on reporting and communicating risk
*Case studies from leaders in risk management.
