Rotherhams Option

by Msecadm4921

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has opted for installer Reflex to deliver on three key civic contracts for audio conferencing and video surveillance systems.

In Rotherham Town Hall’s main council chamber, the full council meetings are able to run more smoothly and effectively following the installation of an audio conferencing system – providing each delegate with an individual controllable microphone and a global PA speaker system. The audio conferencing suite has been ‘future-proofed’ to allow for changes in the council’s requirements in years to come.

In Bradgate Park, where RMBC and Safer Rotherham Partnership are investing heavily in resources to encourage leisure activity and deter crime, Reflex has installed the latest generation video surveillance systems with cameras providing full coverage for the well-being of anyone using the park. Coverage is provided for the main car parks, pedestrian areas and perimeters, day and night, with high quality images and playback facility acting as a deterrent to any criminal activity on-site.

Finally, as part of a separate crime reduction programme in key strategic locations, supported by SRB funding, two new surveillance cameras have been fitted by Reflex near Millmoor and at another location closer to Rotherham town centre.

Dave Kynman, group sales director for Reflex, pictured, said: "In the ever changing framework of local government, councils and other public bodies need suppliers who can anticipate future developments and display a high degree of flexibility and integrity. In combining this approach with best value procurement and true partnership working arrangements with customers, Reflex has gained an enviable reputation for delivering on public sector contracts across the UK."

Meanwhile Reflex has been awarded the Silver Systems standard by The National Security Inspectorate (NSI). Dave Kynman said: "The NSI accreditation further develops Reflex’s growing reputation as a quality company with a high level of technical competence and exemplary service levels. This latest accreditation forms part of our strategy to support core security technologies against nationally agreed standards." The company already holds the Investors in People Award, ISO 9001/2000 certification, and is a member of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) among others.

"We are one of the few companies in the UK to hold such a wide range of national accreditations, which are an important building block to underpin our continued rapid growth and business development activity. We are actively pursuing the NSI Gold standard within two years," added Dave Kynman.
