The Screening Bureau, the pre-employment screening arm of The Security Watchdog, has announced its aim to invest in a centralised screening database which offers the sharing of information through technology and collaborative relationships.
The project will uphold, it is claimed, both UK and international data protection and BS 7799 (information security management) requirements. The exchange technology will effectively mean that collaborative clients share the associated costs of screening, the firm says. By offering a robust technical solution to the โrepeat-screenโ cycle undertaken by employers of a transient workforce, the Screening Bureau says it aims to significantly reduce client screening overheads and turn-around times.
What they say
Watchdog Director, Steve OโNeil, says: "The success of our bespoke screening extranet VOLT (Verification on Line Tracker) over the last two years has proved an excellent platform to go that one stage further. There is no logic in organisations repeatedly screening the same individual following a career move in the same industry. The integrity of The Security Watchdog brand in the field of screening and its experience in offering innovative screening solutions on an international scale ideally positions us to develop a central screening database covering a range of contract industries with the end result of eliminating repetition and reducing costs for all parties. "
