HID Global will showcase its latest offerings in physical access, logical access and secure issuanceat this week’s IFSEC South Africa SECUREX. In addition to demonstrating its products, John Lakin, HID Global’s regional sales manager, Sub-Saharan Africa, will present on the benefits of multi-application smart card technology.

HID Global will showcase its products for secure identity-related applications at Hall 1, Stand #D20 at the Sandton Convention Centre from August 31 to September 2. Key HID Global demonstrations at IFSEC South Africa include:
New Printing and Encoding Solutions: HID Global is previewing a new family of intuitive, modular and scalable FARGO Direct-to-Card printers, which offer solutions for creating customised photo IDs and encoding smart cards. Each FARGO model includes optional field-upgradeable modules to scale to future requirements and works with other HID Global products.
During an IFSEC SA track session, HID Global will discuss the company’s inside perspectives on smart card technology:
John Lakin, HID Global’s regional sales manager, Sub-Saharan Africa, will present “the benefits of multi-application smart card technology”, where he will explore the considerations associated with implementing multiple applications on a single contactless smart card or credential. Mr Lakin will also share customer success stories to illustrate “real life” multi-application smart card deployments and discuss how to leverage converged technologies on a single card in various organizations and vertical markets. This track session presentation will be held every day of the show on from 1.30pm to 1.50pm at the Educational Theatre, Hall 2.
