The PAS68 tested HT1-Raptor is according to manufacturers Healds a new concept in anti-terrorist road blocking products. The makers say it has been designed to guard against the highest level of vehicular threat. It can be raised and lowered to allow or prevent vehicles from passing through.
The product has been designed to eliminate trapping hazards anso the makers say offers high security and safe operation. Standing at a height of 985mm, the unit is 435mm deep. The shallow mount RAPTOR was tested at MIRA, pictured, and conforms to BSI PAS 68: 2010. The blocking element was undamaged after this impact, and was awarded the performance specification of V/7500(N3)/80/90: 3:3/18.9
Various access controls are available to operate the product. Available with the option of an accumulator and push button for emergency fast operation. As for fitting, no pre-cast pit is required, it can be fitted to a minimum of 450mm depth. Only minimal concrete is necessary, the firm adds. The HT1-RAPTOR can be fitted as one single unit or multiple units on wider roads.
