Organisers International Business Events report first time exhibitors SITA and LG Iris at the annual Airport, Port and Terminal Security (APTS) conference and exhibition.
The event runs at London’s Olympia Conference Centre on November 8 and 9, 2005.
APTS Event Manager, Michael Costain says: "With the introduction of a new intelligence stream and the increasing introduction of biometric systems for all areas of border control throughout the world, this year’s show has seen a high level of interest from information technology providers. APTS Europe is now one the most prestigious events in the aviation and maritime security calendar and the support from both SITA and LG Iris sends out a strong message to the market that APTS Europe is the place to do business."
Exhibitors and sponsors at the event include L-3 Security & Detection Systems, Rapiscan, Thales, BW Technology, Group 4 Securicor, QinetiQ, BAE Systems, SITA and LG Iris. Running alongside the exhibition is a conference programme; new topics for 2005 will be intelligence and cross-border security. Thomas Marten, Vice President, Government and Security Competency Centre at SITA will give a keynote address on the developments in interactive API and other issues regarding border management and security. Mohammed Murad, Director, LG Electronics, IRIS Technology Division, is also invited to speak on new technology developments.
