eXitfinder is the latest addition to Brighton-based Fireco’s System X.
It’s described as a smart communication system that automatically signals a fire alarm condition to all linked X products including Dorgard X and Deafgard X.
eXitfinder is a directional indicator that illuminates to highlight the evacuation route in the event of a fire alarm sounding. When the System X transmitter unit (TX), positioned beside the fire alarm bell or sounder, identifies an alarm condition it uses the radio to automatically signal to all eXitfinder units within a 100m site specific range. The eXitfinders illuminate an arrow highlighting the evacuation route.
System X is designed for all environments, in particular sleeping risk applications, and assists compliance with elements of the DDA. It is fitted with a minimum of disruption, the makers add. Its features include fail to safe, night-time release and dual battery supply. System X can be installed to comply with BS 7273-4 Category B.
