Investigators from the Security Industry Authority and licensing officers from North Wales Police carried out a targeted inspection of 17 pubs and bars in Wrexham Town Centre on Friday, February 27, to check that door staff held valid SIA licences.
Of the 42 door staff checked, 98 per cent were working legally. That is, one individual was found working without an SIA licence.
Sharon Roberts, an SIA Head of Investigation said: “The compliance with SIA regulation was very high and it is reassuring for the public to know that when they go for a night out they are being protected by trained and professional door supervisors licensed by the SIA.”
