SIA In Sheffield

The Security Industry Authority is holding the second of its conferences this year in Sheffield, on October 12.

The topics aired include the approved contractor scheme (ACS); individual applications; the guarding of the 2012 London Olympics; and serious and organised crime in the private security industry, the speaker here being from the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).

Speakers on the day are, from the SIA, Dave Humphries, Director Compliance & Enforcement; Baroness Ruth Henig, chair of the regulator; Hazel Russell, Director of Transition; Steve McCormick, Director Service Delivery; and by video message, Lynne Featherstone the Lib Dem MP and the Home Office minister who has charge of the private security sector.
