The Security Industry Authority reports a second SIA conference to discuss plans for the future regulation of the private security industry. It will be in Sheffield on Wednesday, October 12.
The โCommitment to Regulationโ conference will consider the developing proposals for the new regulatory regime, outline progress since the last conference in London in the spring, and discuss the security requirements for the London Olympics and Paralympics Games 2012.
The SIA adds that this year itโs hosting two conferences to ensure that there is enough chance for consultation and discussion on the future regime. The Sheffield event follows the London event in March – featured in the May print issue of the magazine, by regular Professional Security contributor Una Riley – where the SIAโs โblueprintโ was outlined and discussed.
