Skills Conferences

by Msecadm4921

There are new venues for this autumn’s Skills for Security annual conferences.

They are on November 4 at the Williams F1 Conference Centre, between Wantage and Oxford; and November 11 at the La Mon Hotel, south of Belfast.

SfS organisers report that they have taken on board the feedback from last year and have made changes to the format. Speakers will discuss relevant industry topics, and there will be more opportunities to network with colleagues, particularly as the lunchtime buffet (rather than a sit-down meal of past years in Oxford) will be served in the exhibition area. At the Oxford event, there will be an industry debate, based on the ‘Make the Change’ campaign, where the audience will be invited to participate and express their views on the issue.

The day will also see the Skills for Security Awards. Here another change, SfS will just have one award for ‘Contribution to Skills Development and Training.’ Further details with regards to speakers will follow.
