LEGIC Identsystems supplier of secure platforms for contactless smart card technology, is launching four new products at stand A101 at IFSEC. The SM300-S security module incorporates a high power output and a long read/write range (40-70 cm depending on card and type of antenna) making it suitable for many hands free applications. Compatible with the LEGIC reader family, the reader unit needs no external components. LEGIC?s Booster System is a new active RF-system that permits reading of LEGIC transponders over a distance of up to 20 metres. Using encrypted RF data communication, the system is particularly suitable for long-range identification in the area of access control. New LEGIC plus Security Modules SMXX-SE deliver ticket handling through a standardised core ticket structure, helping to save costs and integration time. Finally, LEGIC?s new SMXX-SC modules form the basis of a new cash handling application, developed to cater for increased interest in using cashless payment systems.
