Digital video security networks firm VisioWave SA and Ascom Security Solutions, a system integration for security applications firm, report the integration of the INVIS Smoke detection software into VisioWave Open Video Plug-In Architecture.
The solution allows to integrate and activate smoke detection capabilities into the VisioWave Digital Video Security system itself. The video content analysis algorithm developed by Ascom Systec can analyse the image from any video camera connected to the system and detect smoke. This information can then be used with the conventional sensors and therefore lead to more effective security and safety, the firms claim. The system will provide the opportunity to free-up time and effort of the control room staff who can then concentrate on critical tasks, the firms add.
