Kalamazoo?s Security Products Division has launched its ID application software, Asure ID. Asure ID, designed for network environments, comes with database and card design tools. The company is also launching its SentryCard On-line Bureau Service. Asure ID allows users to design and produce ID cards conveniently, securely and economically. Multi site companies can use a corporate intranet (LAN/WAN) or the web to connect securely to an Asure ID server. A programmable smart card controls entry to the system. This remote printing facility removes the need for each branch or office to run thermal card printers. The server is generally installed at the central issuance site, alongside the card printers. When a user is ready to transmit card details, a direct secure connection is established. The user is authenticated using their Asure ID Smart Card. The Asure ID Server provides transaction auditing and reporting back to the user. Asure ID is built around a 32bit Windows architecture and is compatible with Windows 95,98 and NT4.0. Its database has more than 200 customisable fields. It comes with an import/export wizard for easy integration with other systems. Its card design features are highly advanced, allowing users to add multiple layers for built-in card security. Asure ID supports full duplex printing, functions with any Windows compatible print device and includes mag stripe and bar code encoding where relevant. Asure ID forms part of Kalamazoo?s Validate product range. Validate comprises application software with a choice of card printers and cameras to suit all applications.
