Counter Terror Expo at London’s QE11 Centre in Westminster in February saw more than 4000 governmental, military, law enforcement and business professionals from the UK and overseas, report organisers Niche Events (www.niche-events.com).
The two-day event had conference and specialist workshops and exhibition.
"With the scourge of international terrorism remaining a high priority issue, this event provided a forum in which to debate the threats, develop new concepts and foster strong relationships amongst counter terrorism professionals at the sharp end in delivering strategies to neutralise the capabilities of those who wish to do us harm," said Managing Director, Peter Jones.
"We are delighted that the feedback from those attending has been overwhelmingly positive and shows clearly that Counter Terror Expo has raised the bar significantly for this type of event."
Intelligence gathering, policing, critical infrastructure protection and business continuity were among themes. Workshops covered CBRNE Detection and Screening, CCTV and Surveillance, Perimeter Security and Intrusion Detection, Human Factors & Training and Information and Communication Systems. The exhibition space showcased 130 suppliers.
"Such has been the success of Counter Terror Expo that already we are receiving a high volume of advance exhibitor bookings for next year. Consequently, we have taken the decision to move the event to the much larger National Hall at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in 2010.
