The Emergency Services Show runs on Sunday September 11, 2011 at Hullavington Airfield off the M4 near Chippenham, off junction 17, between 10am and 4pm.
Not only can you enjoy fire engine and police car rides, but also experience a ride around the Topgear test track in a 1,184bhp Bugatti Veyron and R7500 Caterham driven by the Stig, aboard the BBC Worldwide Topgear Official simulator.
The โTopgear Experienceโ is a new mobile truck unit currently touring the UK and Europe. Using original BBC footage and presented in full HD, you feel the full force of acceleration, slick gear changes and phenomenal breaking.
Other attractions at the show include the Silver Stars Parachute Display Team, South West Regional Police Dog Trials, Road Traffic Collision demonstration and a tenth anniversary balloon release as a mark of respect in memory of the thousands who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedies.
The show is organised by a committee of volunteers, drawn from Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, Great Western Ambulance Service and the Highways Agency. Last year over £17,000 was raised for local charities from the proceeds of this event, and organisers are hoping to beat that record this year.
