Silver Telecom demonstrated the first triple input power supply module capable of accepting 24Vac or 12Vdc or PoE (IEEE802.3af) at IFSEC 2008.
According to the company, the product is aimed specifically at the security market, where there are now three ways of powering security equipment, such as cameras, RFID or door entry systems. In the past, the manufacturer adds, this would have meant equipment developers using three power supplies, but the Ag9312 module will accept all three of these inputs and then output a 12Vdc supply for use by the host equipment.
Packaged in a small footprint DIL module, Ag9312 is described as a low cost solution that can also offer design time savings, and savings in PCB real estate. Designed and manufactured in the UK, and fully RoHS and WEEE compliant, the Ag9312 supplements Silver Telecom’s range of PoE products.
