JVC has introduced two LCD monitors, the GD-17L1 and the GD-19L1.
Both are industrial-built, the firm says, to meet demands of installations in the security market. Designed with cooling vents located at the top and sides of the rear panel, the monitor can be installed flush against the wall or surface making it suitable for control rooms, the manufacturers say. The monitors can be installed on operators desks using the tilting desktop stand, included with the purchase.
Yash Patel, Executive Director, CCTV Europe at JVC Professional Europe Ltd, says: โWell known in the marketplace for extremely reliable and high resolution monitors, JVC’s introduction of the two new monitors combine cost-effective and innovative technologies that are set to make an impact. Flat panel LCD screens now must be versatile enough to integrate with a wide range of equipment and to be mountable in a variety of positions and locations. The new 19-inch and 17-inch LCDs are ideal for monitoring applications with their elegant yet practical design with wide viewing angles giving top performance, indispensable in today’s demanding environments.โ
Operated by an IR remote control, both LCD’s have a 4:3 aspect ratio and deliver high resolution images (1,280 x 1,024). They can be connected to a PC via the 15-pin D-sub terminal and the monitor can display VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA images. A built-in AC adaptor and Universal AC inputs come as standard. The monitors also have three separate types of video inputs: Component, S-Video, and Composite. The monitor’s rectangular design combined with VESA mounting holes provide a number of possibilities for mounting and installing, whether stand alone or rack mounted. There is a control lock for extra security.
