Middlesex University are the latest organisation to undergo an audit of their security provision and show their eligibility for the Secured Environments award. Middlesex University met the criteria for each of the six principles of Secured Environments.
Those principles not only cover a commitment to security and an understanding of security risks, but a requirement to develop and manage appropriate responses to those threats and to show that the responses are properly implemented and monitored.
The university sees great merit in the award as this recognises their commitment to ensuring that staff and students are able to work and study in a safe environment.
Paul Manning, Security Manager, Middlesex University said: "The security team has worked hard to ensure that all departments within the University both understand the security risks they face as well as implement measures to protect themselves against crime on campus. This nationally recognised accreditation is the reward for all the hard work of the teams involved. We hope that it will provide another reason for staff and students to want to work and study at Middlesex."
