URN Fees

ACPO has announced new URN fees.

The increase was £3.08, making the new fee £41.38 plus VAT at the applicable rate. So the amount to be collected from the end-user client after April 1 will be £41.38 plus £6.20 VAT, a total of £47.58. This was the first increase since January 2007, in line with ACPO’s two yearly review of fees. With effect from from December 2008, the URN application fee was reduced to £44.05 to reflect the reduction in VAT. This is expected to apply until December 2009. <br><br>In January, SSAIB launched its Passport certification scheme for firms that provide Security Guarding, Mobile Patrols, Keyholding, Response Services, Door Supervision and CCTV Management and Operations. This scheme has been accredited by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) as meeting the operational requirements for its Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS), and is the accreditation body says suitable for firms that wish to achieve or maintain ACS approved status.
