Security and other companies with the most eye catching vehicle liveries are being sought by a van hire company for a chance to win a £5,000 prize.
Northgate Vehicle Hire, a commercial vehicle hire company, is launching its own vehicle branding awards to reward the most creative liveries on the road – and is inviting businesses to enter.
Gareth Jones, Sales and Marketing Director said: “With over 60 vehicle hire depots across the UK which work with businesses to customise their vehicles and apply liveries, we regularly see a range of eye catching and wonderful designs that really impress us.
“We have therefore decided to reward those businesses that have put the effort into capturing the public’s attention and have used their vehicles as a marketing tool to promote their business by offering them a £5,000 cash prize.”
Northgate offers Norflex, a service which allows customers to hire vehicles on a long term basis without the constraints of a fixed period contract or the risks associated with ownership. Norflex allows customers to acquire, return or change vehicles without notice or penalty and offers a range of customizing options including livery.
“We’ve all seen a van that’s caught our eye whether it be for the company name or clever design, and we often find that it’s SMEs who are the most creative and less constrained by corporate guidelines. So, in addition to awarding a cash prize to the van owner, we’re also offering an iPad to the person that submits the photograph that wins the award.”
People have until December 12 to submit a photograph of entries which will then be categorised into funniest, most innovative and best visual design. One overall winner will be selected, with the vehicle owner awarded £5,000 in cash.
Gareth added: “While we are hoping that drivers will get into the spirit of the competition, we would like to remind people that taking photographs while behind the wheel is extremely dangerous and such entries will not be accepted.”
