IDentilam have developed their electronic visitor pass system to include intranet connectivity, for visitor and contractor control, the manufacturer reports. An intranet connectivity facility allows users to pre-book visitor and contractor appointments over a company intranet, suitable for multi-sited companies, whether corporations or colleges. Having an electronic visitor management system as opposed to a manual visitor book not only improves security thanks to barcoding and photographs, but enhances corporate identity with a more professional appearance, the firm says. The system allows the user to run ID cards and visitor passes from the same PC; generate car parking permits; print and design passes, including import of bitmaps and photo placement; and scheduling of appointments and future visits.
