An addition to the range of Vista ProtosV cameras, the new Vista ProtosV VPC580WDR (240V) and VPC584WDR (12/24V) Wide Dynamic Range Cameras offer the features of the rest of the ProtosV range, but now with 580TV lines /700TVL (colour/monochrome) resolution and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).
Suited the CCTV firm says for high contrast environments, WDR ensures that both bright and dark areas of a scene are clearly visible. Providing a clean, balanced and detailed image, this technology can prove invaluable it’s claimed when identifying individuals against a brightly lit background, such as exterior glass doors and windows.
The VPC580WDR / VPC584WDR cameras feature RS485 remote control capability, integrated four-zone Video Motion Detection (VMD) with alarm output and remote set up. This allows direct matrix connection and automatic control room display should motion be detected within a monitored scene. For night-time surveillance, the cameras can also be configured to automatically switch on IR lighting, or for IR lamps to switch the camera into ‘Night’ mode. This ensures that the camera is optimised to the available light source all times.
For use within areas of sensitive scene coverage, all models feature 16 integrated programmable ‘privacy zones’ that ensure areas of sensitive content such as the boundary of a CCTV system into private areas or dwellings are screened from operator view.
"Featuring the flexibility of built-in coax and UTP video outputs, the new VPC580WDR / VPC584WDR cameras are an ideal choice for both internal and external applications", says Mark Pritchard, Vista’s divisional director: "With excellent performance across a variety of lighting conditions, they offer highly detailed image capture around the clock."
