Reliance has announced the rollout of its range of vacant property services and electronic security solutions to help secure vacant premises – which have soared the security contractor reports in number as a result of the economic downturn.
Vacant office space in the City of London alone is reported up 46pc on last year at 7.8 million square feet, a trend likely to be reflected in major cities across the UK, says Reliance.
There are a number of risks and costs associated with vacant properties that can be mitigated if preventative action is taken. Obvious threats are fire, theft and criminal damage which can be extremely costly. Damaged properties devalue significantly and this in turn can affect their sale or lease value.
Reliance vacant property solutions deliver a cost effective means of securing vacant premises combining electronic security and remote monitoring with key holding and response services. The firm says that its mobile fleet of vehicles and licensed security officers provide inspection visits, visitor escorting, and rapid response to an emergency as well as remedial action. Starting with a free risk assessment.
Reliance offers a wireless and battery powered electronic security solution encompassing CCTV and intruder alarms. The solution allows for rapid deployment with no need for expensive installation or remedial works, minimising the time property is not protected, the firm adds. The equipment can be installed as a temporary solution and no power or phone lines are required meaning that all utilities can be shut down therefore saving costs. The system provides video clips allowing verification in the event of alarm activation.
