Panasonic Systems distributor CCTV Center reports that it’s supporting FLIR thermal imaging products and technology for use in security applications.
Tim Cocks, CCTV Center director, and Carl Hayesmore, technical manager, have been trained at FLIR. CCTV Center says that it’s also able to offer a mix of thermal imaging systems, with IP technology. Tim Cocks says: “CCTV Center can now help customers to design and specify FLIR thermal imaging systems, including how to use thermal imaging to complement CCTV and security systems. Our product and system pre-configuration service has been extended to thermal imaging products, to ensure network-based thermal imaging systems operate correctly, before they are delivered to site. A training course for security integrators, covering when and how to use thermal imaging, is now available and we have fitted our demonstration facility at Lane End (nr High Wycombe) with FLIR products. For integrator customers considering using thermal imaging technology, we have a mobile demonstration facility which we can take to their premises. We have found that when thermal imaging is seen in operation, its potential as an effective detection tool is immediately apparent.” Applications the Buckinghamshire-based distributor says include large industrial sites and utilities.
Ashley Wyton, FLIR Distribution Manager UK and Ireland, adds: “CCTV Center has invested in, and embraced, thermal technology. I fully endorse its ability to specify FLIR thermal technology for integrators and end users alike.”
FLIR thermal imaging products have IP network and analogue connections, for flexibility. CCTV Center adds that it’s already working with customers to specify thermal imaging in large industrial and utilities.
