The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) is holding its winter seminar on the management of sharing sensitive information in the corporate world and beyond. Titled “Information Sharing: Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere?”, the event runs on Monday, December 5, hosted by Deloitte in London….
Juggling the need to share sensitive information while keeping commercial and personal data safe will be topics for the day. Among invited speakers: Americo Lenza, Head of Group Security, Vodafone; Antony Mayfield, author of "Me and My Web Shadow : How to Manage Your Reputation Online"; Raj Samani, Chief Technology Officer, McAfee; Jeff Brooker, Director of Security and Information, HM Revenue & Customs; and James Nunn-Price, Partner and public sector security lead at Deloitte.<br><br>Author and social media man Antony Mayfield says: "Everywhere we look in business, politics and culture we can see the disruptive effects of social media. It is not enough for organisations to develop new strategies and policies, they need to look at how all of their people’s skills and literacies in social media can be developed.<br><br>"I look forward to sharing my experiences of working with large organisations on social media strategy, as well as how personal reputation and productivity benefits can inspire wider adoption of social media."<br><br>Martin Smith heads the SASIG. He says: "I am anticipating a really rich stream of information which everyone attending will benefit from. For all of us involved in security and information management it is exciting to have the chance to hear first-hand what others have been through and tap into their knowledge. I am probably known for being evangelical in my promotion of knowledge-sharing forums but I sincerely believe they move us all forward in our quest to address the security issues of today and beyond."<br><br>SASIG meetings are free to attend but places are limited and so early registration is strongly advised.
