CCTV and IT managers, and system installers are invited to attend an CCTV road show in the UK in June.
Product firm Fluidmesh Networks is hosting four half-day events in response to the price increases anticipated for fibre rentals from BT and NTL. The seminars seek to explain how to reduce costs of CCTV installations and ongoing transmission without it is claimed sacrificing security and quality of the video stream. The seminars are designed to inform stakeholders who are responsible for the financing and management of public space CCTV systems on the wireless as an alternative transmission medium to rental fibre.
With Fluidmesh wireless technology, city councils are avoiding costs of leased fibre and embracing wireless mesh. Participants will get a hands-on look at Fluidmesh proprietary dual-radio wireless mesh technology for CCTV and security applications. The shows are being offered – free of charge – in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. Attendees will also be offered a Continental breakfast in the morning.
