Image Scan Holdings PLC, an X-ray imaging product manufacturer, reports that its wholly owned subsidiary, 3DX-Ray Limited, has a follow-on order from Johnson Matthey for a variant of their recently launched MDXI-300 X-ray inspection system.
The most recent order is for a MDXI-400, one of the family of transportable, turn-key X-ray inspection systems from 3DX-Ray, the firm says. The modular design of the product means it can be incorporated into a variety of in-line, on-line and off-line end user applications whether in the laboratory or factory, it is claimed.
What they say
Dave Godden, Project Manager at Johnson Matthey, said: "Because the MDXI is a Windows based operating system it will allow us to integrate it cost-efficiently into our current production lines in Royston. We have already experienced the value that Image Scan’s X-ray technology delivers and we are pleased to include this additional capability."
Nicholas Fox, Chief Executive of Image Scan Holdings plc, said: "We are naturally delighted with this latest order. It serves as a further endorsement of the commercial benefits our solutions provide in the industrial inspection market-place where issues of cost, accuracy of detection, and flexibility are all of equal importance."
The firm adds that the contract includes supplying an in-line version of the MDXI-400, integrating it with existing equipment and manufacturing systems, plus technical support and the ‘ruggedisation’ of the product to meet the needs of the customer’s factory.
